AssaultCube is a first person game in the shoot-em-up style. It's free on Windows, Linux or OS X platforms. AssaultCube is designed as a multiplayer online game, but can be played single-player as well. The game is relatively fast paced, especially in comparison to games like Counter-Strike, but the graphics are highly basic and the game situations relatively simplistic. However, AssaultCube does benefit from in-game mapping and the cross-platform multiplayer option. The repertoire of available weapons in the game includes an assault rifle, a shot gun, a sub machine gun, a sniper rifle, carbine, pistol and a knife. All in all, the heroes and villains of AssaultCube make the game exciting and certainly worthwhile as a free game.
